Influences

Throughout this course a number of art forms have been shown to me and have been researched but there has only been two art forms that have really influenced me when it comes to conceptualizing towards the assessment task.

The first influence is Recycled Art. The form of art where materials are reused and adapted to created particular pieces of art such as sculptures and collages. A great webpage I have come across that has 66 pieces of recycled art is in the following link. Below are some of my favourite designs and creations.

The second influence is Realism art but more in particular Photo-realism. This art form was recognised within the late 1960's and early 1970's. The process of using cameras and photographs to gather visual information and then creating a painting that appears to be photographic.

A great photo-realist artist that has caught my attention is Eric Zener mostly because of his work and skill in creating painting that incorporate water which is incredibly hard to paint. Below are a couple of my favourite paintings and his own website for further information.
